It invests in liquid investment grade securities issued by the GOC, provincial governments, municipalities, and corporations with varying maturities. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of its portfolio against the FTSE Canada Liquid Universe Capped Bond Index, by using representative sampling technique. iShares Core High Quality Canadian Bond Index ETF was formed on November 19, 2009 and is domiciled in Canada.
