The fund invests in fixed or variable rate preferred securities issued by corporations. It invests in securities rated P-3 or its equivalent by S&P, DBRS Limited or Moody’s. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index, by investing in the securities as per their weightings in the index. It was formerly known as iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index Fund. iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF was formed on April 5, 2007 and is domiciled in Canada.
