Koki Kimura
President and Representative Director, MIXI

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to join our financial results briefing today. I am Koki Kimura, President and Representative Director. Today, our presentation will follow the agenda shown on page two. Please see page three. This page shows the executive summary. We will go into detail about what is listed here in this briefing. Please see page four. First, our CFO, Kohei Shimamura, will explain our financial status.

Kohei Shimamura
CFO, MIXI

I am Kohei Shimamura, the CFO. Please see page five. This page shows the quarterly consolidated income statement. For the second quarter, we had net sales of JPY 48.9 billion, EBITDA of JPY 10.3 billion, operating income of JPY 7.1 billion, ordinary income of JPY 6.4 billion, and net income of JPY 4.0 billion. Both sales and profit increased compared to the same period last year. The consolidation of PointsBet and strong performance in the digital entertainment segment resulted in a net sales increase of 35.6% compared to the same period last year. EBITDA increased by 80.3% year-over-year, driven by the digital entertainment segment. The reason why the growth rate of operating income was lower than that of EBITDA is due to an increase in amortization of goodwill and other assets associated with the acquisition of PointsBet.

Additionally, the growth rate of ordinary income and net income narrowed due to factors such as foreign exchange losses. Page six. This page shows the quarterly trend of consolidated performance. Page seven. I will now explain the business status of each segment. Page eight. This page shows the sports segment. Net sales increased 78.1% year-over-year to JPY 19.2 billion. The main factors behind this increase in sales were the new consolidation of PointsBet, as well as growth in Chariloto's comprehensive management business, and betting ticket sales. EBITDA became positive, reaching JPY 1.4 billion. This was driven by increased profits in our domestic betting businesses and transfer fee revenue from FC Tokyo, as well as approximately JPY 800 million in one-time expenses associated with the acquisition of PointsBet in the same period last year, recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Page nine.

This page shows the status of our spectator sports businesses. FC Tokyo hosted a friendly match against Germany's Borussia Dortmund. By playing against one of the world's top clubs, we aim to further improve the team's competitiveness and enhance the club's value. The Chiba Jets entered a new season in September in the new B.PREMIER League. Despite an increase in weekday games, we have welcomed many fans to the arena. Page 10. This page shows the net sales trends for the main services in our betting businesses. Net sales saw a significant increase of 88.9% year-over-year, driven by the addition of PointsBet to consolidated results and growth in Chariloto and Net Dreamers. Excluding the impact of the new consolidation, net sales show an increase of 21.1% year-over-year.

Due in part to strengthened regulatory compliance efforts in Australia, PointsBet recorded a year-over-year decrease in net sales in the first half of the fiscal year. However, the number of users is growing, and we are working to turn the business around by strengthening our operations in the region. TIPSTAR net sales decreased by 0.1% year-over-year. This is because we curbed investment in acquiring new users in light of marketing regulations. Profitability is relatively easy to maintain, but restoring sales growth remains a challenge. I will discuss the specific initiatives on the next page. Page 11. I will now explain the status of TIPSTAR. in October, Ultra TIPSTAR started running its first-ever IP collaboration. Utilizing the expertise we have built up through MONSTER STRIKE and other services, we are rolling out collaborations with IPs that our users have a high level of affinity for.

We have also integrated collaboration elements into social features such as the timeline and race chat. By leveraging popular IPs, we aim to encourage users to invite their friends and expand usage. We will expand TIPSTAR's user base through IP collaborations and other initiatives to drive growth. Please see page 12. We will now go into our lifestyle segment. Page 13. Net sales increased to JPY 4.0 billion, a year-over-year change of 13.3%, and EBITDA increased by 354% to JPY 640 million. Growth in FamilyAlbum focus areas and in minimo were the main drivers of higher sales and income. I will explain the status of both businesses on the next page. Page 14. Here is the status of our lifestyle segment. Net sales for FamilyAlbum focus areas increased 23% year-over-year.

In addition to the growth of the GPS Guardian, advertising through the Family Partner program and other advertising efforts are also experiencing growth. Going forward, we plan to grow sales by focusing on digital offerings such as advertising. minimo net sales increased 30.1% year-over-year, partly due to revised pricing. Going forward, we aim to expand sales through partnerships with popular ABEMA programs and a joint project with the beauty booking app, Nailie Beauty. Please see page 15. I will now explain the status of our digital entertainment segment. Page 16. Net sales increased 22.7% year-over-year to JPY 24 billion. MONSTER STRIKE saw an increase in sales as ARPU rose due to offline events and collaborations with popular IPs. EBITDA increased 53.8% year-over-year to JPY 13.4 billion. In addition to increased sales, the main factor was progress in cost optimization for MONSTER STRIKE in Japan.

Page 17. This page shows the status of MONSTER STRIKE. ARPU was higher than the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, supported by the favorable response to our efforts to improve our original characters, as announced at the offline event DREAMDAZE IV, and collaborations with popular IPs. MAU posted only a slight negative year-over-year change as collaborations with popular IPs and other initiatives helped bring back users and attract new ones. We continue to improve the UI and UX so that users will keep playing. Please see page 18. I will now explain the status of our investment segment. Page 19. This page shows the status of the investment segment. Due to the sale of shares held and the recognition of gains or losses from portfolio funds, net sales were JPY 1.5 billion and EBITDA was JPY 20 million.

Net invested capital at the end of the second quarter was JPY 24.0 billion, which accounts for 8.2% of total assets. We will continue to keep this within 10% of total assets. NAV remains at JPY 58.3 billion, more than twice net invested capital. Please see page 20. I will first explain our progress toward our results forecast. Page 21. Here is our first-half progress towards the full-year earnings forecast. For the first half of the fiscal year, net sales were JPY 96.0 billion and EBITDA was JPY 19.0 billion. Our progress percentages against the full-year results forecast are net sales at 51.9%, EBITDA at 60.3%, and operating income at 64.5%, showing steady progress. The progress toward the net income target appears slow because the full-year forecast incorporates the impact of the sale of shares in bitbank in the second half.

We are maintaining the full-year earnings forecast at this time. Since the peak season for MONSTER STRIKE and other services is concentrated around the New Year holidays, we will assess the results before any reevaluation. There is no change to our dividend forecast. We plan to pay an interim dividend of JPY 60 for an annual total of JPY 155. From here, President Koki Kimura will explain the progress toward our medium-term vision.

Koki Kimura
President and Representative Director, MIXI

I am Koki Kimura. Please see page 22. This is the overall picture of our medium-term vision. We aim to grow our businesses around the WeTime economy, which centers on enjoying time with family, friends, and others, and achieve our goals in the early 2030s. While maintaining the revenue base of MONSTER STRIKE, we plan to grow sports and lifestyle into our next pillars of profit, thereby enhancing the profitability of our entire business. Page 23. This slide shows our progress toward our medium-term vision, as well as the challenges and initiatives for each business. Our major domestic businesses are performing well. Betting and MONSTER STRIKE increased both sales and earnings, while growth in digital products helped FamilyAlbum post a profit in both the first and second quarters. We are also starting to see renewed growth in TIPSTAR through IP collaborations. Our key priority moving forward is our overseas businesses.

PointsBet did not perform to plan, partly because of the increased efforts required to comply with regulations in Australia. We will send team members who drove social betting in Japan to Australia to differentiate PointsBet with expertise gained in the Japanese market and steer the business back on track. While FamilyAlbum's overseas user base is growing, efforts to turn those users into active users and tailor monetization to each country are still underway. We will work towards simultaneously increasing the share of active users and implementing country-specific monetization measures. The initial version of MONSTER STRIKE released in India has not gained sufficient acceptance among users. Under the leadership of Senior Corporate Officer Kaneyoshi, we will revise the design to better convey the fun and exhilaration of the slingshot gameplay, with the goal of implementing these changes by the end of the year.

We also expect to launch multiple new services this fiscal year through an AI-native development approach, creating potential upside beyond the medium-term vision plan's targets. I will explain this on the next page. Page 24. We have launched multiple small pods internally, which are small AI-native development teams. Under this structure, our proven top-tier talent is developing products using completely new AI-centric workflows. Our top talent is already working on multiple development projects in parallel, with the aim of launching high-quality services quickly. Finally, let's summarize what we've gone over today. We made steady progress against our results forecast in the first half and are confident about achieving the targets of our medium-term vision. Going forward, in addition to growing our existing businesses, we will work to create new services using AI.

Supporting these challenges is a solid business foundation that allows users to enjoy our services with peace of mind. With the rising risks of cyberattacks and information leaks, protecting our customers' information and ensuring the stable operation of our services are essential for our continued growth. We position security management as one of our most critical management priorities, and we are working to strengthen our security systems, including at our group companies and subcontractors. With both the challenge of creating new value and the trust built over time that underpins it in mind, we will continue pursuing sustainable growth and higher corporate value. We appreciate your continued support. Thank you very much for your time today.
