It also provides synthetic fused silica glass, silicon carbides, CMP slurry, and through glass vias, and glass substrates for semiconductor packaging and anodic bonding; industrial PTFE composite materials and copper clad laminate; optical materials comprising high refractive index glass, DOE diffuser, wave plates, IR cut filter, aspherical glass lenses, micro lens array, and transmission grating; optical film, such as antireflection film, beam splitter, and interference filter; glass frit, pastes, and lid for hermetic sealing; tissue culture products; laboratory glassware; borosilicate glass tubes and rods; and heat resistant glassware.
In addition, the company offers chlor-alkali, polyurethanes, fluoro, and specialty chemical products; high thermal insulation ceramics wall for furnaces and fine ceramics; and plasma-resistant coating for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and plastic optical fiber.
Further, it provides contract development and manufacturing services for pharmaceutical and agrochemical components.
The company was formerly known as Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and changed its name to AGC Inc. in July 2018.
