It also designs and manufactures refractory molds for product application; design and build industrial furnaces, such as heating furnaces and incinerators; construct refractories for large scale plant, including blast furnaces and coke ovens; and repair and maintain refractories.
In addition, the company offers fine ceramics, kiln furniture for electronic component firing, and thermal ceramics, as well as custom-made products; NEXCERA, a thermal expansion ceramic material; Platect, a plasma spray coated setter; and WDS, a thermal insulation.
It serves iron and steel, glass and chemical, and cement sectors, as well as plants with incinerators.
The company was formerly known as Kurosaki Refractories Co.,Ltd. and changed its name to Krosaki Harima Corporation in April 2000.
