Aloha. Everyone. Wasn't that video amazing? Just make you feel like dancing. Welcome to Maui. We're so excited to be here. Thank you again for the ceremonial welcome that we just had from our two local Hawaiians. It's always special to do that as we open up Summit. Welcome here, Snapdragon Summit 2026. It's great to be here together again with all of you, including our partners, media, creators, analysts, and of course, our amazing Snapdragon Insiders. Shout out to all of our Snapdragon Insiders. Something you're going to hear about throughout the summit this year is the theme of agentic. It's no longer just a vision. We're seeing agentic experiences come to life, and you'll be able to witness that throughout the week yourselves. One exciting new addition to Summit this year is we're going to give you access to an AI assistant right in your pocket.
You can access it through SMS, through WhatsApp, or WeChat, where you can ask things like, "What's my agenda for today?" Or, "Summarize today's keynote." Check it out for yourself. Over the next few days, you're going to experience what happens when devices become more personal, connected, and capable of helping you make things happen. While the technology is always exciting, what makes it possible is something much more human, and that's collaboration with people. That's the story I want to start with today. Alongside companies talking about agents, something equally important has been happening. Consumers are becoming more ready for them. Around the world, people are showing a growing interest in AI that understands them, works across their devices, and helps them take action, not just answer their questions.
In fact, 70% are interested in a personalized agent, and 66% are interested in having multiple devices built around their agent. Just incredible. Together, as a tech industry, we can't simply build more powerful AI. We have to deliver AI in ways that people actually trust, adopt, and use every day. That's exactly how Snapdragon continues to innovate for the next generation of devices. As Snapdragon becomes the processor for the agentic age, more and more people are recognizing how much power the fireball brings to their devices. What do we attribute that to? It's not only traditional advertising or being best-in-class silicon, but it's truly the power of us working together with our partners. For us, we have so many different types of partners. We have community partners, our Insiders. We have creator partners, ecosystem partners, and of course, brand partners.
At the highest level, each one matters for the same reason. Before the next era of AI can really scale, people have to believe it's for them. Interest is only step one. Belief is the beginning of behavioral change. Moving from interest to belief depends on familiarity, excitement, trust, and advocacy, which is why Snapdragon must show up at the heart of the devices people love, as well as inside their communities, together with creators, and alongside iconic brands that we trust. Take a look.
There's nothing like being a fan. Belonging to something bigger than yourself. A moment.
A movement.
A community.
A sea of people singing as one.
It's about finding your tribe.
Your voice. Woo!
Your people. Being a fan means you're never alone.
Cheska with the follow-up, and wants for two.
The heart eight.
There's a third time.
The exhilaration.
The anticipation of what's next. The next level.
The next big release.
The next big idea. Because the best moments are the ones we share. Connected by technologies that get us closer to the music.
To the action.
Closer to the game.
To the athletes.
To each other.
From the unimaginable to the undeniable.
Creating new experiences. To build the future.
To build the future together.
Together.
Together.
Together.
Just makes me want to cry. Thank you to all of our partners who actually participated in the filming of that video. Our partners are all interconnected. Community partners inspire advocacy. Creators make innovation relatable. Our ecosystem partners bring experiences to life through devices. Of course, our brand partners help us show up in culture. What makes this so powerful is not that they operate separately. It is because they work together. We connect creators with OEMs. We create opportunities for the Insider community to engage with iconic brands. We bring together technology leaders, cultural giants, and amazing storytellers. The result is a network of impressions that people see, understand, and experience what is possible with Snapdragon. Let me show you what I mean. Today, we have 23 million Snapdragon Insiders, which is just amazing. It is so amazing. These are Snapdragon. Again, I am going to cry.
These are Snapdragon’s biggest fans, our loyal users, and our most credible advocates. As community members, their content travels so far, where one Snapdragon Insider’s artwork can generate millions of engagements. Another can give the world a first-person view of events like Snapdragon Summit. To give emerging community members and creators exclusive access to devices powered by Snapdragon, events and experiences, we have built the Snapdragon Insiders Access Program to help them tell their stories worldwide. This year, four of those insiders, representing the U.K., the U.S., and India, earned their way to Hawaii through their incredible advocacy. So a special shout-out to Devin, Manish, and Sebastian, as well as our Manchester United super fan, Preetam. Welcome, all of you. They all are sporting the newest Manchester United kits for the season. You guys are looking fantastic. Wish they would win more, but that is okay. We will get there.
While community creates belief, creators drive momentum. They are often the first people to translate innovation into something audiences can really see, understand, and share. Because most people do not fall in love with a spec sheet. They fall in love with what their technology enables. That is why creators matter. In fact, people are 12 times more likely to watch a creator test a device than read the specs. 92% of tech buyers trust peer recommendations over traditional marketing.
Creator-led content drives significantly stronger conversion than traditional advertising alone. We are so incredibly proud of the global creative community that we have built around Snapdragon. In fact, in the past year, Snapdragon creators have reached a combined audience of 405 million people. It is okay to clap. We are able to explain the latest innovations and help their audiences imagine themselves really using it. That is the power that creators bring. Community and creators help people understand what's possible. Ecosystem partners actually make it tangible.
They are the companies bringing Snapdragon-powered experiences into people's daily routines through devices, like the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2, or the motorola razr fold, the latest Meta glasses, Lenovo PCs, and of course, the brand-new Rivian R2. Woo. It is a great car. With the help of the ecosystem partners, we are moving beyond stand-alone devices towards something more connected. Last year, we coined the phrase, "The ecosystem of you." It is a future where your devices work together around you and move with you wherever you go. The last group of partners I want to talk about that bring the whole Snapdragon story together are our brand partners. These partners help Snapdragon show up in places people already care deeply about. Sports, entertainment, and culture create emotional connections that technology alone cannot.
Through our Manchester United and Mercedes Formula 1 partnership, Snapdragon reaches audiences beyond traditional tech conversations, and those partners create measurable impact. For example, 89% of Manchester United fans who own a phone powered by Snapdragon would recommend their device, and 70% of Formula 1 fans say they would likely recommend Snapdragon to a friend or colleague. That is what happens when technology becomes part of the experiences people are passionate about. Let me bring it back to where we started. Communities build belief. Creators make innovation relatable. Ecosystem partners bring it to life through amazing devices. Of course, our brand partners help us reach culture at scale. Together, they create the perfect environment for new technology to move from possibility to your everyday reality. That is why we believe in the power of partnership. Okay. We have an incredible week for you this week.
Let us take a quick glance at the agenda. Today, you are going to hear about our Snapdragon division going forward, followed by major mobile announcements and new agentic AI experiences. Tomorrow, we will continue with a CEO to CEO fireside chat in the morning, new personal AI and Snapdragon Sound announcements, as well as our latest breakthroughs in the PC. Throughout the week, you will see it all firsthand through experiences and showcases and conversations across Summit. So buckle up. What you are going to be exposed to over the next few days is nothing short of extraordinary. Now, please join me in welcoming my boss, but more importantly, my friend, our President and CEO, Cristiano Amon.
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Snapdragon Summit 2026. I am very, very happy to be here with you. Actually, Snapdragon Summit is very special for us at Qualcomm. Actually, I still remember the first one. Before I start, I want to say big thank you to the Snapdragon Insiders that this is our loyal community that really understands and care about the technology behind the screen and what happens in the world of technology, and I thank you for your support. It is incredible to see 23 million and growing. I also want to say a big thank you to our marketing team that put this together. Those are not easy to do, especially when you have a CEO that make changes at the very last minute. So, thank you very much for everybody that worked on this. Okay. It will be very clear.
I have one key topic of the presentation today, and I will get to it. But every year at Summit, we look about what is next in mobile technology. And it is interesting, we have been following along with you, I think the evolution of AI. I remember when we started with AI cameras, AI features in cameras that you can now take pictures with no light and you have a lot of AI enhance. But now we see how that evolution went all the way into how it is going to change how we use the smartphone. Let us do a recap. Last year, we talked about the ecosystem of you and how, with AI, your experience is going to be personalized.
It is going to have a lot of intelligence that is going to be with your own context, and it is going to be integrated not only in your phone, but devices around you. And we are really at this point that we are going into this transition from what is a very phone-centric model to now an agentic-centric model for the new experiences. And the agents become the center of that experience, not the phone. And that changes how we think about the role of the smartphone. We have been talking about this, and what is exciting about this particular Snapdragon Summit is I think we got to the point that we can clearly see what is the AI smartphone, and that is the key topic of my presentation today.
We have seen this transition, we have this vision, and now we see this thing coming to life, and we now have clarity about how the phone will become an AI smartphone. There is a number of things that happen even in a short period of time. AI is changing so fast, and we have seen development of Mixture of Experts, orchestrators, brand new models. We have seen MCP protocols getting at scale so agents can connect with different services all over the internet. We see the development of agents. We saw development of skills. All of those technologies put together enable this transition of the phone to the AI smartphone.
And that is no longer something that is going to happen in the future. It is happening now, and that is my job today, to show you about the beginning of that transition. And we are moving from apps and assistance into agents. We are just now at the beginning of the agentic age, and Snapdragon is the platform built for it. Your phone is not going anywhere. I have seen so many discussions about what is the new phone? What is the new phone?
Is the phone going to disappear? Is the phone going to get replaced? No. The phone is not going to go anywhere. But we now can see clearly how your phone is going to interact with those new agentic experiences, how we are going to have the coexistence of the old and the new. The reason the phone is also not going to go anywhere, because the phone is unique to you. It is always with you. It has been personalized and customized to you. You know the experience when you get a new phone and you wanted to configure everything the way you want it.
The interesting thing is, for the past two decades, the smartphone experience now, since the beginning of the smartphone, has been organized around the apps. Now, in the agentic age, the experience begin with intent. We've been talking about now that AI is the new UI. We talked about a couple of years ago, and now that AI can understand your intent. That's how agents is going to do things for you. The important thing is this is an agent for you. So permissions and control will be very important and remains with you. The technology has been designed, so it's going to be proactive for you. But the phone is very important because if anything is unique to you, and we talk about the ecosystem of you, then context is very, very important. The phone is very special.
That's the device that knows you best, and that's why it becomes essential for agentic experiences. So an agentic AI will now require the device to do much more than just execute commands. It's going to be less about navigating apps, and it's going to be about completing tasks for you, and it's going to handle a lot of the details to get things done for you. I'm going to tell you today about what is the criteria that allow you to change between one and the other. The interesting thing in this conversation is now you have two dimensions that your device has to support. Today, the smartphone experience is built around your interaction with the device. You pick up your phone, and you're going to go to different apps, and you're going to do different things. You initiate the interaction, the device respond.
Now there's another dimension of the experience. That's what you do indirectly, but what your agent is going to do on your behalf. The agent now must perceive what's happening, understand the intent, understand the context, reason, plan, remember, and act on your behalf. You're going to start to see new functionalities besides the ones expected on the phone. So it's access to your personal knowledge, secure permission, the one that you wanted to provide permission, ability to take action on your behalf as a proxy of you. We're going to talk about that today. Having persistent context in those interactions, real-time reasoning, and multimodal. It's going to deal not only with language, with vision, with audio, and even physical AI inputs.
What makes this very interesting is whether the agent runs on the device or built into the OS, it now needs to do a lot of coordination across models, apps, services, and data. But your experience, to be useful, needs to remain very intuitive, instant, secure, and needs to be always available. I think that is what I'm going to tell you how we're going to see the difference between what you're going to do yourself and what you're going to rely on the agent to do. So the very first and most important thing, it will be trust. A great agentic experience will begin with trust. The agent's going to act on your behalf, so it needs to be secure, it needs to be private, it needs to put the user in control. The second thing is something we know in technology. It has to be effortless.
No friction. Using an agent, it must be easier than you doing it yourself. Otherwise, you pick up your phone, you open the phone, and you are going to go to the different apps. The agents will add value to you if actually they reduce friction. We have seen this in the history of personal computing devices. The reason so many workloads, I think you all remember how we all started doing e-commerce. The reason so many workloads moved from the laptop to mobile is because with mobile, it was easier, it was lower friction. That is going to be the same recipe when you are going to choose in those two dimensions when you are going to do things yourself or when the agent is going to do things for you. That is very important.
That is also going to lead to the conversation about, in the ecosystem of you, about the other device categories. Because the experience has to be personal, has understanding of your context, it has to be proactive, not intrusive, it needs to be responsive in the moment you want, with the ability to continue across different devices. That is why the ecosystem of you, we see that developing not only with the AI smartphone, but all the other devices that become personal AI devices and now are part of this thing that will gather context for you. The best AI is not AI that is going to ask more of you. It does more for you, and it is your own AI. That is how we see the future of the AI smartphone and those new personal AI devices. Let us go to an example.
You are making plans to go see a band you like. The agents will tell you the band is in town, ask you if you want to go. All you need to do is "Yes." A simple yes will set a series of actions. It will coordinate schedules, find, buy tickets, making plans for you. Behind the very simple interaction, the agent may need to work across multiple applications, cloud services, models. All the complexity will stay behind the scenes, and the experience will feel very simple for you. That is how an AI smartphone is going to feel. A new generation of devices are being designed for those agentic experiences, and that is what I want to tell you. This is what I want to show you. This future now is here. We know what AI smartphone is. Let us take a look at what they are.
YOYO. Shoot a video for me facing forward. Record the center for 5 seconds.
I'm on it. I'm on it. Assemble a virtual team. Agent one will be a manufacturing operations expert.
Isn't that cool? We at Qualcomm can't wait for you to upgrade your phone to our AI smartphone powered by Snapdragon. We're already seeing this taking shape. Companies are now designing around those experiences, designing devices from the beginning, thinking about this. Those are some of the first agentic devices you see in the world, and they're powered by Snapdragon. This is incredibly exciting, but it's also exciting from an engineering standpoint. As the examples are showing, agentic AI is just not another feature to add to the device. It creates an entire new kind of experience and device workflow. That makes for companies like Qualcomm, a system-level design challenge and a significant innovation opportunity about Snapdragon. I remember in the early days of the smartphone, the challenge was, and that was the Snapdragon, the first one, the OG.
The first Snapdragon 8, the challenge was, can we make that into a computer? Can you run a high-level OS all day with clock speeds of 1 GHz and more, and you have an all-day battery life? Now, we have the same challenge again, because the phone now has to support everything that you expect the phone to do when you're using the phone, but the agent is also going to be using the phone on your behalf, even when you're not using it. That creates a very interesting innovation opportunity. We don't shy away from the challenge, actually, we're excited about it. Hybrid AI, what's on your device, what's in the cloud, working together as one. Cross-device intelligence across all the devices in your ecosystem, orchestration of tasks, and the right computing, so you can do this with an all-day battery life.
The entire system needs to work together to deliver performance, efficiency, responsiveness, all those experience require. I think that is the opportunity for Snapdragon to continue to set the pace of innovation in mobile now in the age of AI. You need to rethink how you're going to design the computing engines. You're going to need the CPU, which is going to be very important to have even more performance for the agent orchestration. You have the NPU accelerator, which is going to provide very efficient AI inference, and that is actually key because you have to do this while preserving an all-day battery life. All of us that understand what to expect out of our phones, there's one thing that did not change with AI. The phone has to fit in your pocket, it cannot be hot, and the battery needs to last all day.
GPU will handle highly parallel processing and AI. You need connectivity, which is now even more important than ever because connectivity is no longer about connecting with the models in the cloud, but also voice is important again. Connectivity also is part of making this capability instant. Connectivity is not only unique to phones. We talked about it last year about 6G. When you have other devices, like smart glasses, see what I see becomes very important. You need high definition video upstream. We see an incredible roadmap of technology. All of this with the expectation of what it means to build a Snapdragon. Uncompromised performance with all-day battery life. This is also creating some interesting new opportunities for compute. The phone has always been about heterogeneous computing because you have to be very efficient.
Some of the problems that now you see in the data center, the compute needs outpace the energy availability. That has been true in the smartphone since day one. You have a lot of computing requirement, but you don't have unlimited energy. It's a battery-powered device. You have to design specialized computing for each one of those tasks. This has been happening since the beginning of Snapdragon, and that continues to be true for the AI smartphone. With that, we have a very interesting innovation, one that people did not expect. You remember that when we entered the data center space, we talk about a brand-new engine, which is the High Bandwidth Compute. It's a new engine that connects memory and the accelerator for significant efficiency improvement. That technology that we designed for the data center is now scaled all the way into the smartphone.
I want to give you a perspective. Some of those future agentic AI devices that you have seen, they may process up to 1 million tokens per day on device while remaining available throughout the day. That's what we see today. It's only going to increase. What we have done, we developed HBC for Snapdragon as a co-processor to Snapdragon that is going to bring memory and AI processing closer together, delivering speed, efficiency, performance, the next generation AI smartphones will require. The technology has a very important role across not only Snapdragon, but everything in the edge. We're going to take that to your laptop. You're going to see that in the case of your smart glasses. You're going to see that in your car and more.
That's an exciting, I think, technology advancement, and that's how we're going to be thinking about there is no limit about you'll be able to do with your AI smartphone. Stay tuned. This technology, you're going to see something very exciting at Mobile World Congress. This is actually a call. Don't miss what we're going to announce, I think, with the HBC coming to Snapdragon. The agentic experience, it goes beyond to the smartphone, to all the devices around you. The agent is at the center, but your phone, your PC, your glasses, wearables in the car, are all going to be endpoints for the agents. You naturally going to choose a device that is more convenient to you, depending on where you are and what you need at that time.
That's how this is going to play out, because it's going to be all about your context, the AI that works for you, that is relevant to you. Otherwise, you're not going to use it. It's not relevant. You're just going to do it yourself. Snapdragon is now spanning all those device categories of personal AI and is bringing agentic experiences everywhere. This is accelerating. You see how many companies are now designing Snapdragon across all of those different devices, and you see some exciting launches, how smartwatches, glasses, pendants, pins, they all being part of that, and don't forget your car. The experience is going to be seamless, and it's going to be continued to you. It should basically feel very natural.
Workloads are going to be distributed across the available computer resources in the cloud and based on each task that you require. The computing is distributed, the experience is going to be unique to you, and it's going to be seamless. I told you all about how this is going to play out. I wanted to bring everything together. In Qualcomm, we always believe in strong partnerships. We've never done anything alone. This one partnership, it's always been with us in this journey of Snapdragon and mobile. We have seen how agents can transform experience.
Google has been an inseparable partner of Qualcomm, and now as we think about this transition to an AI smartphone, this partnership, which delivered the first Android smartphone in the industry, is even stronger. I'm going to invite my great friend, Rick Osterloh, to discuss how we're going to be advancing technologies for the agentic era together. Welcome, Rick Osterloh from Google. Thank you for being here.
Thanks for having me.
Thank you for being here. Welcome.
Thank you for everything, and thanks for our awesome partnership.
Look, Rick, looking good.
Yeah. Thank you. You, too.
Wow.
Here's the thing.
Hi, everyone. Last year we had this conversation, and we got some feedback from everybody that people really like it. They said that this was one of the best things of the keynote. That's now the bar.
Great.
That's the bar we have to deliver.
We will not disappoint.
Yes. I am very, very happy you saw all this exciting change happening in the industry. I have my Snapdragon cards, and I am going to have a few questions so we have this conversation.
Great.
You were here last year, and a lot of those things we talked about a year ago was just potential. Now we see many of those experiences are now becoming real. From your perspective, what changed the most in just 12 months?
It has been an unbelievable year. Like all of us or many of us, we have witnessed many computing changes in our lifetime, and there has definitely never been anything like the AI computing change. The level of investments that are happening across the industry, the pace of innovation is clearly accelerating, and then probably most importantly, the differences these technologies are making in consumers' lives, in businesses. Things like software development has completely changed in the last year. How drug discovery is done has completely changed.
How companies do cyber defense and bug discovery, totally changed. It is kind of incredible how much has changed, and I think truly it feels like it is only just beginning. You hit on some of the other trends. I think the shift from chatbots and models to more agentic experiences is another huge trend. It is really exciting what is happening, and it is unbelievable how fast the pace of innovation is going.
Look, it's incredible. I think on that, the question is, when you look at Gemini users today, what are you seeing from them that tells that the AI for them is doing just more, as you said, a chatbot answering questions
Yeah.
And it really becoming something that people rely on throughout their day.
Oh, there's been an explosion of usage and growth. Token usage has gone up 7x year-over-year. We just announced last quarter that Google Cloud grew 80%, so enterprises are adopting this en masse. Gemini grew to 1 billion monthly users, the fastest 1 billion user product in Google's history, and we have a lot of 1 billion user products. Google Search has 1 billion people every month using AI mode. These are unbelievable numbers.
Unbelievable.
It just speaks to what people are doing with it, and that usage continues to grow. It's incredible how much it has grown in the last year.
This is the exciting part. As people start to use those things, we have seen that. We have seen what happened with computing when computing became mobile, it is just going to do that with the device they carry with them all the time. We talk a lot about the concept of apps, which a lot of Snapdragon users use a lot of apps from Google Play, but also having this transition from apps to intent. How is Gemini evolving from a tool that respond to request into now an assistant that is going to execute on that intent on their phones?
One of the things we have been working on together in close partnership has been this transition to something we call Gemini Intelligence, which we are really excited about. This is about taking our traditional operating systems and adding an intelligence layer to it. We call it moving from an operating system to an intelligence system, and it is basically about trying to imbue AI throughout the entire user experience of our platforms and make it additive and easier to use these products.
You can see we just started rolling this out. It was on a phone launches this year. It is also now on Google Books, and it is going to be expanding to all of our platforms. It is a very exciting trend. The core around this is about moving from answering questions to helping users get things done. You talked about intents, and it is about moving to agent-based experiences that make it easier to get through your daily life.
On that, we talk a lot about context, and we talk about being personal. From your perspective, how those experience are truly personal and carry the context of the user?
I think this is the critical piece to make AI really useful, it has to understand you. It has to understand your current context, and then it also has to understand the long history you have and the preferences you have. Obviously, as Google, we're blessed to be able to have so much information about our users. They trust us with a lot of their information, and that allows us to add capabilities like personal intelligence. So a user, of course, with their consent, for a user, we can offer deeply personalized AI experiences so you can get exactly what you want. You don't have to reintroduce yourself to an AI every time you try to get something done. It knows that you like basketball and Mexican food and the sun. That might describe me. But, for you, it might be something different.
Yeah.
This is what we want to be able to achieve, is make it so that users can get the things done that they want to get done really easily.
Look, as you think about those experience, one, we spent time last year, and actually, there's some exciting stuff this year, too. We just launched together the Googlebook. Super exciting.
Very exciting.
But we talk about this concept now, all of those devices become endpoint for the agents, and you're going to have that intelligence happen in other devices, your watch, your glasses. We just launched the glass together, too. From a Gemini perspective, what does it mean to have Gemini show up consistently across your phone, PC, glasses, the other devices you have throughout the day, not drop any ball?
I think it's so key because it just makes it so much more useful. It's about adding this layer of ambient intelligence. If you can have Gemini be able to understand what you're going to want, whether you're in your car using your voice, or you're on your smartphone, or you're in front of your desktop doing productivity work, it should be able to really understand what you need and your context in that moment. And you don't have to reintroduce yourself just because you happen to be in the car versus using your phone. And we've been locked in this great strategic vision together and trying to deliver this across automotive and phones and laptops, and it's really exciting to see it start to come to life. This is awesome.
This is good. So I got to my last card. Okay? Look, you guys know we love Google, and we know you guys love Qualcomm. From your perspective, how you describe what is the collaboration between Google and Qualcomm, and why is that important right now as we think about this agentic era?
Well, I think there's so many levels to it. I think this technology transition from old computing models to new AI-driven computing models, it requires this deep collaboration across all levels of technology, and without that, there's no way to be able to deliver it. What's happening now is this huge transition to full stack solutions that have local model processing and cloud processing both, and they have to work well together, and they have to obey the thermal constraints and compute constraints on local devices. And without this deep partnership we have, there's no way to be able to deliver that kind of capability. I'm so grateful for our work together. I think we're starting to really see the fruits of this partnership, and hopefully, our users and business customers can see the same thing because I think it's going to be an awesome future together.
Maybe if I could say one thing about that. Look, it has been an incredible partnership, especially because the two companies, they are now trying to find solutions. Each one of us are probably very good at what we do and are trying to find solutions for things that do not yet exist, and we are going to make it possible. Actually, I do remember, that is why the Snapdragon Summit is special for me. I remember the launch of Android Cupcake when we have to take on a lot of challenges to make a computer fit in the palm of your hand, and now we have this opportunity. It is also interesting to see how Qualcomm is changing, and our partnership is going to different places. Not only into phones, but into now the Googlebook. We have been partnered on cars.
Yep.
Cars are going to be perfect, I think, for agentic experiences, and I think this is just the beginning of what we are doing together.
We have come a long way since our first project together on the MSM7200.
That is correct.
That was a while ago.
That is correct. Thank you so much for being here.
Thank you. Thanks for having me.
I think-
Thank you all.
I really appreciate it, and a really exciting future.
Thank you.
Let's take a photo. Rick, let's take a photo.
Oh. It's better with both of us.
Thank you very much.
Everyone get him? Okay, good.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Appreciate it. This future, it's incredible, and we're just at the very beginning. But let's go back to this conversation about agentic experience, because remember, I told you about those things, that it needs to be trusted, you need to be in control, and it needs to be no friction. Let's just think about something like shopping, like an everyday activity like shopping. An agent will be able to find what you want, compare options, complete the purchase on your behalf.
When an agent is acting as a proxy of you need to trust the agent, and you need to trust the device, especially for something like shopping. Snapdragon is also developing technologies to actually help protect your personal information and provide a secure device environment so the agent needs to authenticate and operate, keeping you in control. I want you to see how that's going to look like.
In the past, when you visited this location, you purchased sunscreen and lip balm from the Aloha store. Do you need to buy them again?
Yes. Let's purchase.
Confirm $21.48 purchase at Aloha store?
Yes.
Purchase confirmed. Head to Aloha store for pickup. Pickup complete. You are 200 points closer to your next gold credit card rewards tier.
Which of these PCs is best for me?
Considering that you do a lot of work on the go and frequently do video and photo editing, you will want a powerful device with long battery life. I recommend the ASUS Zenbook A16, powered by Snapdragon. It has excellent reviews that mention its long battery life and local AI capabilities. The devices with other processors just wouldn't keep up with your needs.
I like this one.
Okay. If you buy with your gold card in store today, you will get a 5% discount. If you purchase at Tech Mart's online store, you will get 20,000 rewards points. That would add enough to your balance to redeem for the photography excursion you have been looking at.
Great. Let's buy it online and ship it to me.
I'll take care of that. Confirm $1,899 purchase at Tech Mart online. Your PC will arrive Tuesday. The receipt is in your email. You have a few minutes before you have to meet Fred for lunch. Would you like to book that excursion now?
Yes.
There are three upcoming dates, but the one next Saturday looks best for your schedule. Say the word, and I'll go ahead and set everything up.
Those kind of experience will create new partnerships and new problems and opportunities that need to be solved. Mastercard exploring what this future can look like for consumers. Let's hear from Mastercard CEO, Michael.
Artificial intelligence and the use of agents is already changing how we discover, make decisions, and complete purchases. This transformational technology is driving a paradigm shift in how and where commerce happens. It's creating entirely new ways of people to interact with brands, services, and one another. Agent-driven transactions are already taking place around the world with incredible potential for future growth. But while people are always interested in new technologies, we know they will only use what they trust. People need to be confident that their payments and data are secure and that they control the process. Trust is the foundation of that confidence and must be there on day one. That's where Mastercard comes in. We've delivered trust for more than 60 years.
Every time you see our logo, you have an expectation of secure, simple, reliable payments and protections, and we have a commitment to deliver exactly that. Our teams are innovating and building the trust layer for agentic commerce. That trust layer brings everything you expect when you pay with a card into a world where AI agents act on your behalf. We are excited to work with innovators like Qualcomm to build this next chapter of commerce. Thank you for the strong partnership, Cristiano.
Joining me now on stage is Raja Rajamannar, Senior Fellow at Mastercard. He is here to share how AI agents are reshaping how people are going to discover, shop, and make purchases. The application is now horizontal, and it is going to be part of every step of the experience. Good morning, Raja. Please come to the stage. Welcome.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for being here.
Thank you very much. Michael talked about importance of trust as commerce become agentic. What changes when an agent moves from helping someone shop to actually act on their behalf?
I think the biggest difference that you find when an agent is helping you is it is entirely discretionary as to whether you want to accept the recommendation or the answer or not. In shopping, there is a level of finality. When you buy it, you bought it. There is money out of your pocket. So the level of trust you need to have about your agent is at a different level. Let me just say a couple of things. For example, if you look at the entire commerce, the entire purchase process, the first level is the discovery. You are using a particular LLM, and then you put whatever you want to, and it tells you something.
If you do not like the answer, if it is not the right answer, you can always go to Google or go to somebody else and then find out and say, "Okay, fine. This answer, I did not like it." You curse that particular LLM, say it is a stupid thing, and then you move on to the next one. In the case of agentic, when I am making a purchase, I am giving up some of my authority.
I am delegating my authority to purchase on my behalf to the agent, which means I have to have such implicit trust that this agent is really going to work for me. That, I believe, when it comes from a well-reputed and trusted brand or a group of brands. In that context, for example, Mastercard is already having a phenomenal image in the world of payments and they have been around for a long time.
It's not a fly-by-night kind of a situation. People have that trust. When they see the Mastercard logo, they find this is a safe thing. When you bring to that expertise from complementary fields, like for example, Snapdragon/Qualcomm, that is an incredible combination, and that's where magic happens.
That's great. If we go to the next step, before you give an agent permission to make a purchase, what do they need to know and be able to control?
First and foremost, I need to know that this agent is dependable, it is reliable, it is completely trustworthy. It keeps my data safe and secure, because in this world where payment credentials and ID can be stolen all the time, I want to make sure that if I'm giving my credit card data or debit card data or my other personal information that is required to validate and authenticate who I am, I need to feel comfortable that this particular device and this particular platform is going to keep me safe. For example, if it is my phone, somebody steals my phone, I just want to make sure that my identity is not lost along with the phone. Those parts become so critical at this point in time.
Given that AI is also simultaneously increasing so much of deep fakes, the fraud of different types which we haven't seen before. When that is happening, consumers will be a little bit more cautious, and rightly they should be. That's when, again, I keep coming back to brand, saying that when you have a brand that you can trust your life with, literally, at least your financial life with, you would absolutely want to go with that kind of a brand. That's where I think we have got a huge advantage as Mastercard. In your case, like you and I was just watching from backstage, the kind of development that's been happening for so long, and you have become the heart and mind and soul of these phones, smartphones, and other devices. I think that's going to be very reassuring for the consumers.
That's great. So last question, Raja. We talk about context because this experience, including the purchase experiences, has to be personalized for you. How does Mastercard deal with context, which is going to be required for the purchase?
Yeah, I keep joking about context. If somebody is trying to market to me a beautiful hair product, well, that's not really relevant to me. It happened to me multiple times when I have seen an advertisement that is put in front of me, where they show a beautiful woman who has got great hair. She is doing that, and the hair swirls. I said, "Why the hell are you showing it to me and rubbing it in?" From that perspective, relevance is critical. You need to know who I am, what I am. Then you need to know my values, my feelings, my beliefs, my aspirations, my behavior. For example, if I bought something right now, there is no point in surfacing it to me 10 minutes later.
Raja, we got a better offer on what you just bought 10 minutes back." That would be very deeply upsetting. The key thing is it needs to know and understand me and my context extremely deeply and give me relevance. Now, this level of personalization comes with its own apprehensions in the consumer's minds. What are those apprehensions? First and foremost, what's going to happen to my privacy? Second, are these guys going to use my data and start selling it in all the markets, and I start getting all kinds of solicitations for things I don't care about, and it clogs my emails and things? It's a very fine balance, the extent of hyper-personalization to be balanced with the privacy that has to be sacred.
When you manage both these, I think that's when things will really be comforting for the consumer, that you know my context, you know me, you know my immediate past behavior, and you know what I don't like and dislike. Most importantly also, that if I am the guy who is seeking value, hunt deals for me. If I'm the one who is seeking priceless experiences, okay, get me priceless experiences. I think that's the kind of context that I think will really help. It's not just about a seamless, intuitive interaction, but about a delightful experience that I have to go through.
Very good. Raja, thank you so much for being here with us. It's exciting and a lot of opportunities for partnership and innovation.
Absolutely. Totally believe that. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Thank you. It's really interesting because hopefully, you see it creates new kind of definition, even what is an app. Even something like a payment now becomes embedded across different things that you do when you have agentic experience. It's a lot of opportunity for innovation. One thing I wanted to do before we continue is, remember a Snapdragon PC that was featured in the agentic purchase video? That one that was recommended and was the right recommendation, we're going to give one away from somebody in the audience, randomly selected. Congratulations, Prabhu Ram, for the laptop. I believe that's the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme. We also have a small gift for you, since you're here with us in Maui. You saw during the agentic purchase video, she bought some sun balm, I think from Aloha, so we have that for you.
Don't forget to get the pouch with sunblock and lip balm when you leave the stage. This is an exciting time. We're at the beginning of a major transition for smartphones and every category of personal computing. I also want to use this opportunity as I get to the end of my presentation to also introduce somebody new to you. As Qualcomm enters this new chapter, I'm very excited to welcome to the Summit stage, in his new role as the Group GM of Mobile Computing and XR for Qualcomm, Sergio Buniac. He has spent his career building global business and bringing breakthrough devices, products to market as the former CEO of Motorola Devices. Welcome, Sergio.
Thank you.
We are very excited to have Sergio here with us. By the way, for those that do not know, I know Sergio for a very long time. I think he had built a career at Motorola, built incredible devices. We also have something in common. I think we are both born and raised in Brazil.
Yes.
Sergio, we want to welcome you as part of the Snapdragon Summit. We also, Don McGuire talked about this agentic experience, an app that people can use it. We made a video for you curated by agentic AI. Those of you in Maui can get your own personalized video if you visit our demo room. Let's just show the video.
Let's see the video.
Sergio was showing off with the soccer ball.
Yeah.
Sergio, tell us, what motivated you to join Qualcomm?
First, you saw my other option was professional soccer. That was not going to work. Very happy to join Qualcomm. I have been leading with Qualcomm and having the opportunity to work with many of the people for so long. As you said, the world is moving from apps to agents. It is probably the largest transformation in the industry in a long time. AI is reimagining what devices can do. Snapdragon as a platform is in a very unique position to change the world and our lives. I would say, answering your question, great technology, great people, an amazing brand, and I will put San Diego as a plus.
Yes. I do not have any complaints. All right, the second question I want to tell the audience, because you have been building devices, I think, your own career, and as you mentioned, we are going to see this change. Now we see what AI smartphone is, but also wearables are changing into personal AI devices. What part of this future of AI smartphones and personal devices is most exciting to you?
Oh, look, I think, as you said, technology is becoming more personal, more relevant, more intuitive. In a simple way, the smartphones are going to become a hub AI for our agents. I think, not less important, it is going to connect to a platform of devices that will be interacting and touching our lives on a daily basis. I would say we are moving from hundreds of millions of Snapdragon devices to probably billions in a very short term, and that is a fundamental change in the world. Hopefully to contribute to that part of the technology, and a very exciting journey.
Very good. We are very happy to have you on board. Thank you, Sergio.
Thanks a lot.
Appreciate it. Thank you. As I get to the end of our presentation, I just want to summarize it for you. The AI smartphone is here, and apps and agents are going to coexist. From a single device experience to intelligent experience across your entire ecosystem of devices. It will require a lot of innovation. We are just at the beginning of that innovation roadmap. Not only on AI, mobile processor, and much more. Snapdragon will continue on this mission to set the pace of technology innovation in mobile and take smartphone into the agentic age. Building this technology for a future when AI will understand what you want, turn your intention into actions, and it is going to be your agent. That is already taking shape right now, powered by Snapdragon. Before I leave the stage, I have one more thing.
Consistent experience across devices and computing environments creates a challenge for developers. You have seen this, how there is a lot of complexity on different devices and hardware experiences. Today, AI gets optimized for different workloads from different accelerators, different hardware architectures, different platforms. Our vision with Modular is to provide a unified way for developers to build and optimize AI across heterogeneous computer environments for everyone, not only for Qualcomm, for all of the other semiconductor companies. That is why we had acquired Modular, and we are making that open source Mojo and MAX, being demonstrated running not only Snapdragon, but any other hardware architectures.
Over time, we believe it can create an open software platform for the entire industry. Stay tuned for more. We are going to be busy trying to make that happen and really supporting this with our decision to make this open source. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you. You are the best part of Snapdragon Summit. We have a lot more exciting things for you, including new chips. With that, I want to call Chris Patrick on stage. Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Good morning, everybody. I love it. It's great to be back at Snapdragon Summit. You just heard from Cristiano Amon a powerful vision for the agentic age, a world where people and AI agents work together in brand new ways. I am going to focus on how that vision comes to life. We often talk about the future of mobile. Today, I want to talk about the future that is enabled by mobile. AI agents will change the way people interact with technology, and mobile is where that change will be felt most deeply. Mobile has continued to be at the center of every major shift in computing. I personally had a front-row seat to 30 years of mobile innovation. Actually, that sounds like a long time. Maybe I was a teenager when I started.
If there is one thing I have learned in my long time in this industry, it is that every time we think we understand what a mobile phone is, every time we think we understand what a smartphone is, it evolves. First it connected us, then it informed us, then it became intelligent, and now it is becoming agentic. Every transition raised the bar for what mobile needed to do, and at every interval, Snapdragon evolved to meet that moment. We spent years building the technologies that made these intelligent experiences possible and enabled each of these transitions. Heterogeneous computing, on-device AI, advanced connectivity, intelligent imaging, custom CPU innovation. In doing so, we consistently pushed the industry forward. Well, now we realize the world had changed again.
As Cristiano Amon laid out, agentic AI requires a fundamentally different kind of platform, a platform capable of understanding you, learning from you, protecting your information, acting on your behalf, all in real time. We at Snapdragon anticipated the technologies that would be necessary to enable agentic AI. This is why Snapdragon is uniquely positioned for what is next. Snapdragon is the processor for the agentic age. In order for AI to understand and act on your behalf, it needs context. It needs to understand your day, your preferences, your surroundings, your relationships, your priorities. The smartphone is uniquely positioned to provide that understanding. It delivers three things that every agent will need. One, presence. It is with us throughout the day, all day, every day, which helps us to provide, number two, context. It understands our lives, understands the world around us. And then three, connection.
Mobile is the center, connecting your other devices, your applications, cloud resources to expand what your agent can accomplish and understand in real time. So presence, context, connection. These are the building blocks of agentic AI. The smartphone is the device that can bring all three of these together at massive scale. We believe the future of personal computing will be defined by what Cristiano Amon mentioned, the ecosystem of you. A collection of intelligent devices, each contributing a unique layer of understanding about you and about your world. The PC will understand how you work, how you create, how you communicate. XR devices will see how you engage with the world around you. Audio devices will know what you listen to and will understand the conversations that matter most to you. Wearables will track your health, your routines, your daily activity.
Together, these devices will create an increasingly rich and personal understanding of your life. At the center of it all will be mobile. Mobile is where these experiences will converge, where context will come together, where intelligent becomes most personal. The smartphone will be the launchpad for the agentic age. When you combine that foundation with intelligent agents and innovations, entirely new experiences become possible. We are already beginning to see what this looks like in the real world. One example comes from our friends at Honor. The AI robot phone is a completely new class of device. Their Magic series shows how the smartphone is evolving from a device that simply responds into one that understands intent, makes decisions, and then takes action on a user's behalf. Let us take a look.
Hello, everyone. It is a great honor to be here at the Snapdragon Summit. At Honor, our mission has always been to push the boundaries of human-centric technology. For years, Qualcomm has been an extraordinary partner, redefining what is possible across on-device AI, mobile imaging, and the broader AI device ecosystem. Together, we have achieved incredible milestones in on-device AI. We transformed human device interaction from reactive response to proactive services with YOYO Agent suggestion and ushered smartphone into the autonomous era with the YOYO Agent. In mobile imaging, Snapdragon's computing power enabled us to bring ARRI, the legend of cinematic storytelling, to smartphones for the first time, giving creator direct access to a professional Hollywood workflow. The Honor robot phone is the perfect proof of our synergy with Qualcomm, bringing physical AI interaction to life. This new species is right here at the summit.
Please go say hi, and it will smile back. Play a song, and it will dance to the beat. It is no longer just a phone. It has a soul. We did not stop at technology. We infused it with art. By integrating ARRI LogC3, ARRI Looks, and ARRI Cinema Mode, we are making everyone's dream of directing a Hollywood blockbuster on a mobile device a reality. The upcoming Magic 9 series will push these boundaries even further. It can handle complex demand and execute long tasks of more than 100 steps. Stay tuned for September 20th for the new Magic. As we enter the era of agentic AI, we are co-creating an AI device ecosystem with visionary partners like Qualcomm, transforming the endless possibility of technology into the unlimited potential of every individual. Thank you, Qualcomm team, for shaping the future with us.
All right. Amazing. As we built for the future of AI, for this agentic transition, we recognized that something else had changed. The landscape itself, the industry had changed. The flagship smartphone market looks very different than it did just a few years ago. What was once a single flagship category has evolved into a broad portfolio of premium experiences. Today, consumers can choose between a base model and an ultra model, a camera-focused device, a gaming-focused device, a flip, a fold, a trifold, and so much more. At the same time, consumers had different expectations. Brands began to pursue increasingly distinct visions that set each apart. We recognized this, and then we changed. At Snapdragon, our job is to help our customers lead, and when the industry evolves, we evolve with it.
That's why we're introducing a brand-new era of flagship leadership designed for the next generation of premium mobile experiences. This will give our customers greater flexibility, allow us to scale innovation across the ecosystem, and continue to push the boundaries of what flagship can be. One size no longer defines flagship. Leadership requires more than a single path forward. Today we're introducing not one, but two Snapdragon 8 Elite platforms. Let's take a look. There you have it. Two Snapdragon 8 Elite platforms, both powered by the same Snapdragon DNA, both built for the next generation of AI experiences, both designed to push premium mobile forward. The new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 defines the next generation of flagship excellence, delivering premium performance, breakthrough intelligence, and power efficiency that the flagship devices will demand.
To lead the next wave of mobile innovation, we've built something truly extraordinary. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 represents the very pinnacle of Snapdragon innovation, the platform that we built to lead the agentic age, intelligence that will truly move the world. Together, these Elite platforms will bring flagship smartphone experiences to more devices, and thus, to more consumers across the entire Android ecosystem. Realizing this vision actually requires partners who are willing to push the boundaries. Xiaomi has continuously shown what's possible when breakthrough innovation meets bold product execution. Please join me in welcoming my friend, Adam Zeng, to the stage to tell you more.
Aloha. Thank you all, and good morning. I'm Adam Zeng from Xiaomi. Thank you Qualcomm for this invitation. It's great to be back in Hawaii for this important moment. 2026 is another strong year for Xiaomi. We rank on the Fortune Global 500 for the eighth straight year, up 65 spots from last year. We are also number 205 on the Forbes Global 2000 and number 281 on the Kantar BrandZ Top 100. Today, Xiaomi has built a full human car home ecosystem, and all these core three business are delivering strong results. Our smartphones has been top three globally for six years. Our AIoT platform is one of the largest in the world, with over 1.1 billion connected devices. For Xiaomi Auto, since our first launch in March 2024, we released Xiaomi SU7, Xiaomi YU7, and Xiaomi Sky Nomad, and more.
In no more than three years, we have delivered over 800,000 vehicles. This year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powers the smart cabin of the next generation Xiaomi SU7, delivering a more advanced, easy-to-use cabin experience. Throughout the journey, Qualcomm has been one of our greatest partners. Together, we bring innovative, high-quality products and smooth experiences to users around the world. Our partnership started in 2011 with Xiaomi's very first phone, the Mi 1, running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon S3 flagship chip. We have only grown closer since then. Every generation of our flagship series features the most advanced Snapdragon chips. Xiaomi 17 series, powered the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, was a huge success, both in China and globally. Today, I'm excited to share the latest results of our collaboration on flagship smartphones. In just a few hours, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will officially launch in Beijing.
Dual Snapdragon flagship chips, both 2 nanometer. Xiaomi will be the first in the world to debut them. Xiaomi 18 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, built for power efficiency. Xiaomi 18 Pro Max features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, built for peak performance. Xiaomi 18 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 delivers outstanding performance and power efficiency. For maximum efficiency, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is deeply integrated with Xiaomi HyperOS 4 at the system level. We jointly optimized three areas, workload scheduling, memory management, and the app runtime environment. These improve IPC performance, cache bandwidth, and overall energy efficiency. Our gaming optimization is impressive, too. Xiaomi 18 Pro achieves double-digit energy efficiency improvements in major games. For example, in the heavy load open mobile game, we achieve 38.1 single frame lower power consumption. This is an industry-leading result.
Together, Xiaomi and Qualcomm have delivered the best gaming energy efficiency of 2026. Xiaomi 18 Pro Max with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreame Gen 6 is peak performance. Same Qualcomm, same CPU and GPU architecture, and same 5 GHz clock speed, but with stronger AI and a more powerful cooling system. Beyond the 2-nanometer chips, Xiaomi 18 Pro series features some of our biggest generational upgrades to date. Here are a few highlights. An all-new Leica dual 200-megapixel camera system powered by AI. It pushes mobile photography even closer to professional cameras. A next-generation smart back display offers richer personal customization. Now everyone can create their own style, unlocking brand-new experiences. Introducing the all-new hyper RGB privacy display. It delivers excellent visual quality with smarter privacy protection built in. For more details, tune in to our Beijing launch event on the 23rd at 7:00 P.M. CST.
I have the Pro Max here with me today. This is the first time we are showing off the real device on a global stage. Thank you. To our international friends, don't worry. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series will come to global users very soon this year. Thank you all. Thank you, Qualcomm. Back to you, Chris. Thank you.
Thank you, Adam. Incredible. Now let's dive into the technology that makes all of this possible. Delivering these experiences requires all of our custom technologies working together. You can think of Snapdragon like an orchestra. The power is not just in one instrument, but really the harmony they create together. Let's start with the CPU. When you give the agent a request, the CPU orchestrates this agentic loop, manages the control flow, manages key decisions, does task scheduling, data movement. All this is required to make the experience responsive. The CPU helps your agents execute. It's the technology that's responsible for turning intent into action. The faster the CPU can execute this chain of decisions, the more immediate the experience will feel. That's why we built a brand-new generation of Qualcomm Oryon CPUs, featuring our most advanced 8-core architecture yet, with two prime cores, with six performance cores.
We are proud to share, this is the first mobile CPU ever to break the 5 GHz barrier. These industry-leading frequencies are not just about peak performance. They are designed to deliver the responsiveness and instantaneous performance that most modern workloads will demand. Processor speed is only part of the equation. The CPU also needs fast access to data. That is why we have introduced the Oryon Flex-Cache architecture, a new cache architecture that gives all eight cores access to a shared pool of L2 cache, dynamically allocating resources wherever they are needed. That matters more than ever now in the agentic age. Today's AI agents do not just run a single task. They reason, they retrieve context, they invoke tools, and they constantly move work across the CPU complex. With Flex-Cache, every core can access the same cache resources, enabling faster and more efficient transitions.
The benefits of this do not just stop with AI. From gaming and content creation to video editing and multitasking, modern workloads are becoming increasingly complex and require rapid movement of data and resources. That is why we built a CPU architecture designed not only for the demands of today, but the increasingly dynamic workloads of tomorrow. Before an agent can act, it needs to sense what is happening, understand context, determine what matters to you. That starts with our next-generation Qualcomm Sensing Hub. It is the first line of intelligence for ambient voice and contextual signals and plays an important role in the speech processing pipeline. It allows the system to remain continuously aware without waking up the main application processor. The Qualcomm Sensing Hub is designed to continuously process voice activity and personal context, all at ultra-low power.
Our dual micro NPU architecture delivers 85% more performance while consuming 20% less power. This provides more intelligence at the edge of the system, where information first enters the device, and provides meaningful context to be processed continuously in the background. One experience this unlocks is a feature we call Personal Scribe. At your direction, Personal Scribe can index conversations, identify individual speakers from those conversations, organize the important information into your own personal, secure knowledge graph. Over time, that gives agents richer context, helping them become more useful, more personal, more timely. Once an agent has context, it needs to decide what to do with that context. As agentic workloads become more sophisticated, AI tasks will not just run in one place. They actually move across models, across accelerators, even between the device and the cloud.
Still, at the very heart of the system is our Hexagon NPU. The NPU helps agents think. It runs the large AI models that perform inference, generate context, and then make sophisticated decisions. It brings richer intelligence directly onto the device. To power this next generation of AI, we re-engineered the architecture of the NPU. At its core is the new Hexagon Element Accelerator, designed to speed up token processing, improve model performance, and now support context windows up to 32K tokens. This will allow agents to process more information, respond faster, respond with more intuition, more intelligence. We have also increased the NPU shared memory by 50%, keeping more data on-chip, reducing trips to system memory. The result will be lower latency, better efficiency, and more bandwidth for the rest of the system. The impact of all this will be immediate.
The new NPU delivers up to 80% faster prefill performance on select models. Somebody was fantastic over there. This will help agents process more context and respond faster to complex requests. The pace of innovation on-device, again, has been extraordinary. From the very first on-device stable diffusion demo, again, on Snapdragon in 2023, to then supporting 10 billion parameter language models later on that year. Snapdragon has continuously defined what AI could do on-device. Today, working with partners and model providers, Snapdragon can now run 30 billion parameter Mixture of Expert models directly from flash storage. Again, why does this matter? As AI agents become more capable, they need access to larger models with stronger reasoning capabilities and richer context. These MoE models will unlock access to a much broader pool of expertise, while activating only the relevant portion of the model at any one time.
Combined with UFS 5.0 and Qualcomm's intelligent flash to memory management system, we can now run 30 billion+ models on-device that previously would've required a massive memory footprint. This is a major step forward for edge AI, bringing near cloud-scale intelligence to the device. We've taken you through the CPU, through the Qualcomm Sensing Hub, and through the NPU. This defines a true agentic AI platform. Continuously aware, deeply personalized, immediately responsive, all powered by the entire Snapdragon architecture, the Snapdragon orchestra working together. Now let's see examples of what this actually looks like in practice. Together with partners like AGI and Infruis, we're building a new generation of intelligent experiences on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite. Imagine your personal AI moving naturally across the devices that you use every day. It doesn't just answer questions or hand you a list of links.
Instead, your agent gets to work navigating behind the scenes across your apps. You spot a product you like, it finds it, and then buys it on your behalf. You need a ride, it locates and orders one for you. You're thinking about lunch, it's already on its way. When something needs to happen, your agent handles the details. Working across your glasses, your watch, your phone, your vehicle, intelligence moves with you throughout the day. Not just responding to intent, but turning intent into action. This changes everything. Let's look at another example. Previously, I mentioned our 30 billion parameter models running on-device. When you have this level of capability, your work starts before you even open your inbox. Here, an agent digests your summit invitation, understands the dates, the flights, the venue details, key moments inside it, and it builds a plan.
The Mixture of Experts architecture activates different specialists to handle different portions of understanding, reasoning, and execution. In seconds, it starts making the schedule work. Day 1, coordinating travel and check-in around the welcome dinner. Day 2, finding openings, proposing meeting times. Day 3, scheduling activities around the summit keynote and booth reception. Everything is now ready to be added to your calendar as soon as you say go. What might take hours of coordination now becomes a single tap. Together, these two partners showcase what's possible on our latest generation Snapdragon 8 Elite. Combining the always-on intelligence of the Qualcomm Sensing Hub with the industry-leading AI performance of the Hexagon NPU to power a next generation of agentic AI.
You'll see more of these experiences on Thursday during our demo session. Intelligence is only a portion of the story. The same technologies that power agentic AI are also redefining gaming, imaging, video, and connectivity. To help me explore that side of the platform, I would like to welcome one of the central figures in the program that really brought the 8 Elite Extreme to life. The product manager for the program, please welcome Lekha.
Thank you, Chris. Performance and intelligence create the foundation of the platform, but it is through visual experiences that all of that technology becomes real. From the worlds we explore, to the moments we capture. When it is generating content or powering immersive experiences, the GPU is becoming increasingly central to what is possible. Nowhere do we see that more clearly than in gaming. Gaming continues to be one of the most demanding workloads on the mobile platform, making it a great example of how far the platform has come. With Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme, we are introducing the most advanced Adreno GPU yet, delivering a 44% performance improvement and 40% power efficiency. This is our largest generational leap yet. With more horsepower, we can drive incredible gaming experiences. We have also evolved our Adreno High Performance Memory into its second generation.
As the mobile games grow larger and more complex, the developers need faster and smarter access to memory. It is another example of how we are bringing memory closer to the processor and reducing DDR fetches. HPM helps deliver the improved power and responsiveness that is required for next generation of gaming experiences. Now, we are integrating AI even deeper with the introduction of Adreno Matrix Cores, AI-dedicated GPU cores built to run advanced AI models right inside the graphics pipeline.
That matters, because the next era of gaming will not be defined by just raw performance. It will be defined by smarter rendering, more efficient performance, and richer experiences powered by AI. In just a few minutes, we will show you more on our newest gaming experiences and how our partners are already bringing its benefits to life. Now, for AI to be truly personal, it needs to understand you.
The ISP helps remember agents and personalize. It captures image and video context, enables multimodal understanding, and helps build the personal intelligence that makes AI increasingly relevant over time. The camera is no longer just capturing images. It is becoming one of the richest sources of context for AI. That is why we have evolved our Spectra ISP into a powerful multimodal engine, capable of understanding what it sees and transforming image and video into meaningful context. For the second generation of our AI ISP architecture, we are introducing Intelligent Pixel Control. Every pixel now carries 16 bits of data. That is 256 times the level of detail, allowing the ISP to understand what is happening at the scene at a much deeper level.
Working with the Hexagon NPU, the ISP can assign highly granular information to every pixel, understanding not just whether it's a face, hair, food, or sky, but even adding demographic information while identifying tracking individuals as they move through a scene. Each element of the scene is processed individually, helping ensure every shot looks natural, consistent, and remarkably true to life. We've also doubled our video throughput from last year, enabling smartphone support for 8K 60 video capture or 4K 240 super slow-motion recording. You will see this coming for the first time in Snapdragon-powered smartphones. Thank you for that, because I really love these features. Because they are solving a very real problem. As a mom, I know some of the most meaningful moments happen when no one is standing still. Kids are running around. They're moving in and out of the frame. The lighting's changing.
And yet, those are often the moments you want to remember most. That's why innovations like Intelligent Pixel Control and ultra-advanced video capture matter. It's not just about getting a shot. It's about preserving a moment as you experienced it. When it's time to enjoy that content, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme supports the full range of leading video formats, including VVC, our newest generation video codec. As the first global mobile platform with hardware-accelerated VVC playback, our platform delivers more efficient streaming and up to 55% longer battery life during playback. Of course, intelligence doesn't stop at one device. As PCs, XR devices, audio products, and wearables become more intelligent, they need to work together with each other and cloud, keeping experiences synchronized across ecosystem of you. Our connectivity technologies help intelligence move seamlessly throughout your ecosystem.
Let's start with our newly architected Qualcomm X105, the first 5G Modem-RF ready for 3GPP Release 19. Built with innovative technologies, including a new 6-nanometer RF with higher upper link and down link speeds. It is designed to accelerate 5G-Advanced and lay the groundwork for 6G. We also improved positioning precision and coverage with first integrated quad-band GNSS and satellite connectivity for voice, video, and data through NR NTN. Connectivity extends far beyond cellular. Our FastConnect 8800 has been redesigned by a 4x4 Wi-Fi architecture built for next-generation Wi-Fi 8. It brings higher throughput, extended range, and lower latency across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and UWB connections. Combined with AI-enhanced connectivity technologies and next-generation proximity awareness, it enables devices to better understand and connect the world around them. Together, these technologies create communications fabric of the platform, connecting devices, networks, and intelligence into a single coordinated system.
That same system-level thinking extends to how we physically package the platform to sustain its highest level of performance. For this generation, we've developed an innovative approach to thermal design called Offset Package-on-Package. By re-imagining how memory and silicon are arranged within the package, we've created an efficient path to pull heat away from the processor while enabling more integrated design. In smartphone, every square millimeter of board space matters. Offset PoP helps maximize thermal envelope while also giving our OEM partners greater flexibility to optimize their design and unlock new form factors. The result is more than 2 times longer peak performances across demanding workloads. From the package to the architecture, every layer of the platform was meticulously designed, and that's the power of Snapdragon. Thank you, everyone. Chris, back to you.
Thank you, Lekha. Again, look at that. As you've seen, no one technology delivers these experiences we've discussed today. The real breakthrough is how it all comes together. The agentic age will raise the bar for every part of the platform. As we build for that level of intelligence, every experience gets better. Let's take a closer look at what this means for gaming, for creativity, and for imaging. Gaming, in particular, continues to push the mobile hardware harder than almost any other experience. Every generation, Snapdragon has defined what is possible on a mobile phone. Great gaming has never been about peak performance. It's about how our technology maintains performance for longer, consuming less power, delivering richer graphics, higher frame rates. This is why we've created the Adreno Neural Fusion system.
Adreno Neural Fusion combines AI-driven super resolution, frame generation, and neural processing to fundamentally change how scenes are rendered on mobile. The result will be smoother gameplay, higher image quality, greater power efficiency, all at the same time. This is proprietary technology designed by Qualcomm from the ground up, not an off-the-shelf implementation. It's a tightly integrated architecture that brings graphics and AI together to unlock a new class of intelligent gaming experiences. Powering it all are the new Adreno Matrix Cores we discussed earlier, bringing dedicated AI acceleration directly into that graphics pipeline. For developers, Adreno Neural Fusion is the first mobile AI super resolution technology supported by major game engines, making it easier to bring richer graphics, more advanced lighting, more ambitious visual effects to mobile devices. For gamers, the benefits are clear. Better image quality, higher frame rates, longer play times.
This is AI in gaming where it matters the most. With support across more than 20 game titles, Adreno Neural Fusion will be the most broadly deployed AI-powered graphics technology in mobile gaming, demonstrating both the scale of our ecosystem and the strength of Snapdragon gaming leadership. To show what's possible, we created this demo, Sanctuary, a photorealistic, real-time, Unreal Engine 5 MegaLights showcase built from the ground up for Snapdragon. Running this demo, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 renders over 3,000 dynamic lights per frame. Including more than 1,000 overlapping candle lights, casting independent ray-traced shadows. That's double the number of light sources and a lighting setup 50 times more complex than some of the competitive demonstrations we saw earlier this year. Sanctuary is a showcase of what the 8 Elite Extreme platform is truly capable of.
With improved GPU utilization, this will be the new reality for mobile games. Console-quality lighting and graphics on mobile, with no sacrifices. With AI, we are driving the era of intelligent graphics on mobile. This is what it means to change the game. Gaming requires the entire Snapdragon platform, but also so does content creation. This is, again, where that orchestra comes together. The ISP captures, the NPU understands, the GPU renders, and the CPU powers the entire edit. One platform taking you from capture to post without ever leaving your phone. It starts with how you shoot. With Intelligent Pixel Control taking the guesswork out of capturing great shots, our Snapdragon 8 Elite is also designed to give creatives professional-grade tools so they have control over every tiny detail. Support for the APV codec continues to expand across the entire ecosystem.
Creators can now capture professional-grade footage that holds up through every stage of post-production. In fact, Adobe Premiere is coming to Android with native APV support. This will bring new tools directly to Snapdragon-powered devices. The result will be a true end-to-end creator workflow. With Snapdragon, creators can capture, edit, and share from a single device faster than ever before. We spent today talking a lot about platforms and technologies. Ultimately, what matters is the experiences that reach end consumers. This is where our trusted partners come in. Our friends at Motorola have had a long history of bringing bold ideas to market. They've helped turn the innovations we discussed today into real products, real experiences that people can enjoy for themselves. Please welcome, from Motorola, Nicole Hagen.
