Rezera is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing a portfolio of internally invented, proprietary and wholly-owned oral inhibitors of NOD-like receptor protein 3, or NLRP3.
We have been a leader in the research, discovery and development of NLRP3 inhibitors for over a decade, and we have designed our portfolio to address historical challenges faced by other NLRP3 inhibitors: potency, therapeutic index and tissue penetration.
Our lead product candidate, ruvonoflast, is highly potent, has been observed to be well tolerated in five completed human clinical trials and in an extensive nonclinical toxicology program, and is designed to achieve broad tissue distribution, including penetration into the central nervous system, or CNS.
We plan to develop ruvonoflast in peripheral artery disease, or PAD, as our lead indication.
