A deal with a major studio gives Netflix just what it needs.
Most Hollywood studios have started their own streaming services to compete in the evolving media market. Sony picked a well-established partner instead.
The agreement is an extension of Netflix's pre-existing deal with Sony (SONY), whereby the streaming firm had access to all its animation films and would now encompass all film labels and genres.
