About Arda
Arda is an artificial intelligence company that builds software for manufacturing engineering. Its AI agent takes a product's CAD files, PDFs and other design data, then works out the assembly order, writes visual work instructions and lays out the stations needed to build it. When a design changes, the software updates the affected parts, stations and instructions so the change reaches the factory floor without halting production. Arda makes money by selling this software to manufacturers. Its first customer is Anduril, which runs Arda inside its ArsenalOS manufacturing platform. It also works with makers of transformers and electrical equipment for data centers. The company is developing AI models that program robots to carry out its assembly plans, with the goal of automated lines that can be reconfigured as quickly as human workers. Arda was founded in 2025 by Bob McGrew, the former Chief Research Officer of OpenAI and an early product and engineering leader at Palantir.
