About Hadrian
Hadrian is an advanced manufacturing company that builds highly automated, AI-powered factories to produce precision components and full systems for the aerospace and defense industries. Its factories pair CNC machining and robotics with a proprietary software platform called Opus. Opus automates quoting, programming, machining, inspection and supply-chain management, which the company says lets it deliver parts far faster and at lower cost than traditional machine shops. Hadrian makes money by manufacturing and selling these parts and assemblies to defense primes, space companies and the U.S. military, and through a "Factories-as-a-Service" model that scales production across programs such as munitions, shipbuilding and naval defense. It operates four facilities totaling just under 3 million square feet in Torrance, California, Mesa, Arizona and Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and counts customers including Lockheed Martin, RTX, Anduril and the U.S. Navy. Founder and chief executive Chris Power started the company in 2020 to rebuild domestic industrial capacity and reduce U.S. reliance on China's manufacturing base.
