About Figure AI
Figure AI is a robotics company building general purpose humanoid robots designed to perform physical work in commercial and home settings. Its robots, including the Figure 02 and the newer Figure 03, are powered by Helix, an in-house vision-language-action AI system that lets them see their surroundings, understand spoken instructions and carry out tasks such as moving packages or working on an assembly line. The company makes money by selling and deploying its humanoid robots to enterprise customers, with early commercial work that includes a deployment at a BMW manufacturing plant, and it produces the robots at its own facility called BotQ. Figure was founded in 2022 by Brett Adcock, who also co-founded Archer Aviation.
