About HopSkipDrive
HopSkipDrive is a technology company that arranges supplemental school transportation for students a standard yellow bus route cannot serve, including children in foster care, students experiencing homelessness and students with disabilities and Individualized Education Programs. School districts, government agencies and nonprofits book and manage the rides through its RideIQ platform, and the trips are driven by CareDrivers, local caregivers such as grandparents, babysitters and nurses who clear a 15-point certification and fingerprint-based background checks. The company also sells RouteWise AI, routing software that redesigns a district's bus routes and vehicle mix to cut costs and cope with driver shortages. HopSkipDrive makes money by charging districts, agencies and families for the rides its marketplace fulfills and by licensing its software to districts.
