About Instinct
Instinct is a personal AI assistant that connects to a user's apps and devices to carry out everyday tasks. Instead of a dedicated app, users text or call it, and it works through their email, messaging, calendar and other connected accounts to book travel, make reservations, handle shopping and follow up on dropped threads. The assistant runs on a core model the company trains to understand the personal context of daily life, and it frames itself as an always-available chief of staff rather than a chatbot. Instinct is currently invite-only and free while the company scales up computing capacity, and it has not announced pricing, though its terms of service contemplate paid services later. The company operates under the entity Spear Street Technology and was founded by Noah Shinn, a former research scientist at the AI startup Sierra.
