About Life Biosciences

Life Biosciences is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing cellular rejuvenation therapies that reverse age-related disease by resetting the epigenetic code of damaged cells. Its Partial Epigenetic Reprogramming platform uses controlled expression of three Yamanaka factors (OCT4, SOX2 and KLF4) to restore older cells to a younger functional state without fully erasing cell identity. The lead candidate ER-100 is an AAV gene therapy in a Phase 1 trial for optic neuropathies including open-angle glaucoma and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy. The company makes money by developing these prescription gene therapies for commercialization and partnering. It was co-founded by Harvard geneticist David Sinclair.
