About NewLimit
NewLimit is a biotechnology company developing medicines that reverse the age of human cells through epigenetic reprogramming. It designs combinations of transcription factors with an AI system called Ambrosia, tests thousands of those combinations in parallel using a barcoded screening method it calls RESTORE-seq and reads the results with single cell sequencing to see which payloads make old cells look and behave young. The resulting therapies are mRNA payloads delivered in lipid nanoparticles, with programs aimed at the liver, the vasculature and the immune system. NewLimit has no product revenue and is funded by venture capital. It intends to make money by selling reprogramming medicines once they clear clinical trials, starting with a liver therapy it plans to put into a first human trial in 2027 in patients with fatty liver disease. The company was co-founded by Coinbase chief executive Brian Armstrong.
