Polymarket is a prediction market platform where users trade on the outcomes of real-world events. Its markets cover topics such as politics, sports, crypto prices, economics and entertainment. Users buy and sell shares in event outcomes, with prices reflecting the probability that traders assign to each outcome. The main international platform runs on the Polygon blockchain and settles trades in stablecoins. The company also operates Polymarket US, a CFTC-regulated exchange for American users. Polymarket makes money by charging small taker fees on trades in most market categories.
