About ShareChat
ShareChat is an Indian social media platform built around regional Indian languages, letting people post, view and share content in their own language rather than in English. Its flagship ShareChat app spans more than a dozen languages, and the company also operates the short-video app Moj. ShareChat makes money mainly through advertising and live-streaming, where viewers buy virtual gifts and digital tokens to send to creators. It is also expanding into subscriptions. The company is run by parent Mohalla Tech and was founded in 2015 by Ankush Sachdeva, Bhanu Pratap Singh and Farid Ahsan, with its headquarters in Bengaluru.
