About Sila

Sila is a battery materials company that makes silicon anodes for lithium-ion batteries. Its Titan Silicon product replaces the graphite anode in conventional battery cells to increase energy density and shorten charging times. Sila makes money by selling the material to battery cell makers and consumer device brands, with customers including Mercedes-Benz, Panasonic Energy and WHOOP. The company manufactures at an automotive-scale plant in Moses Lake, Washington that began operations in 2025.
