About SiLC Technologies

SiLC Technologies is a silicon photonics company that builds frequency-modulated continuous wave lidar chips and 4D vision systems for machines. Its Eyeonic platform integrates lidar, velocity sensing and imaging onto a single silicon photonic chip, which it sells both as a sensor component and as finished products such as the Eyeonic Trace laser line scanners, the Eyeonic Vista long-range security system and the Eyeonic Edge area scanner. SiLC makes money by selling these chips, sensors and turnkey scanners to customers in industrial automation, warehouse robotics, mobility and perimeter security. The company was founded in 2018 by Mehdi Asghari, a silicon photonics veteran who previously helped take Bookham public and later led Kotura into its sale to Mellanox.
