The fund invests in the public equity and fixed income markets of the United States. For its equity portion, the fund invests in preferred stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. For its fixed income portion, the fund primarily invests in U.S. dollar-denominated preferred securities, hybrid securities and convertible preferred securities. It seeks to track the performance of the ICE Exchange-Listed Preferred & Hybrid Securities Index, by using representative sampling methodology. iShares Preferred and Income Securities ETF was formed on March 26, 2007 and is domiciled in the United States.
