iShares ESG Aware MSCI EM ETF is an exchange traded fund launched by BlackRock, Inc. The fund is managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors. The fund invests in public equity markets of global emerging region. The fund invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in growth and value stocks of companies across diversified market capitalization. The fund invests in stocks of companies that are deemed socially conscious in their business dealings and directly promote environmental responsibility. It seeks to track the performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets Extended ESG Focus Index, by using representative sampling technique. The fund does not invest in stocks of companies operating across tobacco, controversial weapons, producers and retailers of civilian firearms, certain fossil fuels-related activity such as the production of thermal coal, thermal coal-based power generation and extraction of oil sands sectors. iShares ESG Aware MSCI EM ETF was formed on June 28, 2016 and is domiciled in the United States.
