Dialog Axiata PLC, together with its subsidiaries, provides communication and telecommunication infrastructure services to individuals and corporates in Sri Lanka.
The company operates through three segments: Mobile Operation, Fixed Telephony and Broadband Operation, and Television Operation.
It offers communication services, such as mobile, fixed telephony, broadband, and international gateway; telecommunication infrastructure services, including tower infrastructure and transmission services; and media services comprising digital television services based on satellite, cable, and terrestrial media.
The company also provides digital services, which include mobile and e-commerce; electronic payment services, such as mobile payment; digital health, education, Platform (API), navigation, and FinTech services; and enterprise ICT services comprising data centre, manpower, and IT services, as well as venture capital investment activities.
In addition, it offers data and backbone, fixed wireless and transmission infrastructure, television broadcasting, and direct-to-home satellite pay television services.
Further, it is involved in the provision of financing services, such as acceptance of deposits, granting lease facilities, hire purchase, loan facilities, margin trading, cheque discounting, and factoring, as well as digital credit facilities, digital marketing, network development, operations and maintenance, and e-learning products and services; sales of information technology enabled equipment; electronic commerce infrastructure; business of importers, exporters, agents and distributors; and traders in software licenses.
The company was formerly known as Dialog Telekom PLC and changed its name to Dialog Axiata PLC in July 2010.
Dialog Axiata PLC was incorporated in 1993 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dialog Network Services (Private) Limited operates as a subsidiary of Axiata Investments (Labuan) Limited.
