The fund invests in the fixed income markets of Germany. It uses derivatives such as swaps to invest in Euro denominated, fixed-rate government bonds with maturity between 1 and 3 years. The fund invests in the investment grade securities that are rated as between BBB and AAA by S&P and Fitch and between Baa2 and Aaa by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the iBoxx € Germany 1-3 Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. The fund was formerly known as db x-trackers II - iBoxx Euro Germany 1-3 Total Return Index ETF. db x-trackers II - iBoxx Germany 1-3 UCITS ETF was formed on January 5, 2010 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
