The fund invests in the public equity markets of Switzerland. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and financial sectors. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Swiss Market Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weighting in the index. The fund was formerly known as CS ETF (CH) - CS ETF (CH) on SMI. iShares SMI (CH) was formed on October 6, 1999 and is domiciled in Switzerland.
