About BENE
Westwood Salient Enhanced Energy Income ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund focused on generating current income and capital appreciation through investments in securities of North American energy companies. It primarily targets industries such as oil, gas, consumable fuels, energy equipment, and services, with key holdings including major players like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips. The ETF employs a covered call income strategy by writing one-month call options, typically 3 to 5% out-of-the-money on a monthly recurring basis, on about 95% of its portfolio to enhance income from options premiums alongside dividends from underlying stocks. This approach aims to provide monthly distributions while seeking to reduce volatility and beta compared to the S&P Energy Select Sector Index. The portfolio consists of 20-25 fundamentally selected stocks across the energy value chain, including integrated oil and gas, exploration and production, storage and transportation, refining and marketing, and equipment services. Taxed via 1099 forms with no K-1s, Westwood Salient Enhanced Energy Income ETF offers investors exposure to the energy sector's income potential through a disciplined, options-overlay strategy. Launched in 2024, it is managed by Westwood.
