The fund is co-managed by BlackRock Financial Management Inc., BlackRock (Singapore) Limited, and BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United Kingdom. The fund invests in Sterling denominated, fixed-rate government bonds with remaining maturity of up to 5 years. It invests in the investment grade securities that are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 abd above by Moody's. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE UK Conventional Gilts - Up To 5 Years Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. It was formerly known as iShares III Public Limited Company - iShares FTSE Gilts UK 0-5. iShares UK Gilts 0-5yr UCITS ETF was formed on April 17, 2009 and is domiciled in Ireland.
