WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil - GBP Daily Hedged is an exchange-traded commodity (ETC) structured as a synthetic, fully collateralised debt security. It provides investors with total return exposure to WTI Crude Oil futures through the Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil Multi-Tenor GBP-Hedged Daily Index (TR), which tracks an equal-weight basket of three tenors beyond the nearby contract. A key feature is its daily currency hedge against GBP/USD exchange rate movements, rebalanced daily with monthly index weight resets to 33.33%, minimising currency volatility for GBP-based investors. Domiciled in Jersey and issued by WisdomTree Hedged Commodity Securities Limited, it employs fully funded collateralised swaps with counterparties like Citigroup Global Markets Limited and Merrill Lynch Commodities Inc., backed by segregated collateral primarily in euro-denominated government bonds held at The Bank of New York Mellon. UCITS eligible, ISA and SIPP compatible, it offers transparent fees with a management expense ratio of 0.49% and an annual swap rate of 0.65%. This ETC enables efficient access to crude oil markets without physical storage or delivery, supporting liquidity via exchange trading and authorised participants, while limiting losses to the invested amount.
