WisdomTree Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil is an exchange traded commodity (ETC) that seeks to track the Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil Subindex. This index reflects the performance of WTI Crude Oil futures contracts as used in the Bloomberg Commodity Index, capturing excess return from futures prices and roll returns, while the ETC delivers total return including interest from collateral. Structured as a fully collateralised, UCITS-eligible debt security issued by WisdomTree Multi Asset Issuer PLC and domiciled in Ireland, it employs synthetic replication through a swap with BNP Paribas Arbitrage SNC, backed by physical collateral held by custodian Bank of New York Mellon. Launched on 9 April 2015, the ETC provides investors targeted exposure to the WTI Crude Oil segment within the commodities and energy markets. It operates on a long-only strategy, remains currency unhedged in USD, and follows an accumulating distribution policy, enabling creation and redemption by authorised participants and exchange trading similar to shares. As the sole ETC tracking this specific index, WisdomTree Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil serves a niche role in offering precise crude oil price-linked performance without direct physical ownership.
