It invests in the public equity markets of countries under Gulf Cooperation Council which include of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The fund uses derivatives such as swaps to invest in the stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in the stocks of large-cap and mid-cap companies. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI GCC Countries ex Select Securities Index, by employing synthetic replication methodology. It was formerly known as Concept Fund Solutions plc - db x-trackers MSCI GCC Select Index UCITS ETF. Xtrackers MSCI GCC Select Swap UCITS ETF was formed on February 5, 2015 and is domiciled in Ireland.
