About BMPIX

The ProFunds Materials UltraSector Fund Investor Class is a leveraged mutual fund designed to offer amplified exposure to the U.S. basic materials sector. The fund’s primary objective is to seek daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to one and one-half times (1.5x) the daily performance of the S&P Materials Select Sector Index. This approach allows it to capture magnified short-term movements in industries such as chemicals, construction materials, metals and mining, and paper products, which collectively make up the backbone of the materials sector. To achieve its investment mandate, the fund employs a range of financial instruments, including derivatives, which are combined to adjust portfolio leverage daily. The Materials UltraSector Fund plays a specialized role in the market by providing investors with a tool to gain targeted, leveraged exposure to the cyclical basic materials segment, which is sensitive to broad economic trends and industrial demand.
