About NEDZX

NexPoint Credit Catalyst Fund is an actively managed open‑end mutual fund that pursues current income and capital appreciation through a long/short, absolute‑return approach in credit markets. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in broadly defined credit instruments, including corporate and sovereign bonds, senior loans, convertible securities, preferred stocks, and securitized assets such as MBS, CMBS, RMBS, CMOs, and CLOs. Its core focus is on credit situations expected to benefit from identifiable event catalysts—such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, refinancings, asset sales, spin‑offs, and other corporate actions—that can influence pricing across a company’s capital structure. The strategy can extend to late‑stage distressed issuers and pre‑ or post‑bankruptcy proceedings, and may employ non‑credit event‑driven and market‑neutral tactics to manage exposures. The fund’s design complements NexPoint’s broader event‑driven platform, leveraging firmwide expertise in special situations across public and private markets to construct a diversified, catalyst‑oriented credit portfolio. According to its prospectus, active trading may be significant, reflecting the opportunity‑driven nature of event‑focused credit investing.
