Good afternoon, and welcome to this short update on the CEO succession in Gjensidige. My name is Gisèle Marchand, and I am the Chair of the Board in Gjensidige Forsikring. As you saw in the stock exchange release this morning, the Board of Gjensidige has appointed Geir Holmgren as new Chief Executive Officer in Gjensidige. Geir will assume the position on the 2nd of January next year.
He will succeed Helge Leiro Baastad, who will retire from the position as stipulated in the employment contract. Helge will continue to hold the role of CEO until Geir joins Gjensidige. I'm very pleased that Geir has accepted to become Gjensidige's next CEO. He has extensive experience in the insurance industry through 25 years in Storebrand, holding numerous management positions. And he has 10 years of experience as a member of the executive management team.
He has a very strong strategic business understanding and stands as a strong and inclusive leader. The Board is confident that Geir will be a strong successor to take over after Helge, who has been of significant importance for the company's development and growth through the past 19 years. Helge has led the group through substantial changes and developed Gjensidige into becoming a solid and profitable listed company.
Geir will secure continuing strong value creation in Gjensidige based on the group's solid fundamentals. Our strategy and goals, with growth ambitions within general insurance in the Nordics and the Baltics, stand firm. We will make sure we are there for our customers, managing their risks and solving their everyday problems, living up to our mission to secure lives, health, and assets. With this, I would like to introduce Geir and give him the opportunity to say a few words.
Thank you, Gisèle. I'm greatly honored to be given the opportunity to take over after Helge and lead such a great company. Behind me, I have 25 fantastic years in Storebrand, and I'm very proud of what we have achieved there. However, now a new chapter awaits. I was very happy when this opportunity came, and it is very inspiring to be given the chance to lead a company with such an important social mission and such good values. The insurance industry is changing with new customer needs and technological opportunities. I'm looking forward to further develop the market leader in Norway and realize Gjensidige's growth ambitions in the Nordics and the Baltics, together with all the competent and engaged employees in the group.

Yeah, thank you, Gisèle. It has been a fantastic journey to lead Gjensidige through the substantial changes we have seen over the past two decades. And I'm very proud of our achievements, the strong business culture we have built, and our efforts every day to serve our customers. As I understand, there has been a thorough process for quite some time, which has resulted in the appointment of an experienced and competent leader who will fit well into Gjensidige. I'm confident in handing over the baton to Geir, who will take Gjensidige further.

We have received our first questions from Håkon Astrup in DNB. Geir, can you talk a little about your experience working with P&C insurance?
We have just started up with P&C insurance in the corporate market in Storebrand. That has been a kind of entrepreneurship doing that for the last, I will say, 18 months. Before that, I also, for a couple of years, been on the board for Storebrand P&C Company as well. The P&C business in Storebrand has, of course, been a topic we have discussed during many meetings and over many years in the executive management group as well.

Thank you for your unique contribution to Gjensidige, Helge. That was a pleasant comment. The next question from UBS, Jimmy Fan. What opportunities or changes do you see for Gjensidige? In particular, do you see there could be opportunities in life insurance?

Yeah. Thank you. I would like to be clear on what I said earlier, that the strategy stands still. There are no changes in the strategy or the dividend policy. The mandate that we have given Geir when he came and joined the company is to build on this existing strategy and make the company to meet the future possibilities and challenges. The strategy stands still.
