The fund is co-managed by Black Rock Advisors (UK) Limited, BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., and BlackRock (Singapore) Limited. It invests in the fixed income markets of the United Kingdom. The fund invests in Sterling denominated, fixed-rate, investment grade government bonds with any maturity. It seeks to replicate the performance of the FTSE Actuaries UK Conventional Gilts All Stocks Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares II Public Limited Company - iShares UK Gilts UCITS ETF. iShares Core UK Gilts UCITS ETF was formed on December 1, 2006 and is domiciled in Ireland.
