The fund invests in the fixed income markets of the Euro zone, which include Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, and Spain. It invests in the Euro denominated, fixed-rate government bonds with a maturity between one and three years. The fund invests in investment grade securities that are rated as BBB- and above by S&P and Fitch and Baa3 and above by Moody’s. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Barclays 1-3 Year Euro Treasury Bond Index, by employing representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as SSgA SPDR ETFs Europe I Public Limited Company - SPDR Barclays Capital 1-3 Year Euro Government Bond ETF.
