The fund invests in fixed income markets of global region. It invests in investment grade preferred and income-producing corporate securities, including traditional preferred stock, trust preferred securities, hybrid securities, contingent capital securities, subordinated debt, and senior debt of north american issuers or of Canadian or U.S. dollar-denominated securities of global issuers that are rated at least BBB- by S&P/Fitch or Baa3 by Moody’s. It seeks to benchmark the performance of its portfolio against a composite index comprising of 75% of the US Preferred Share Index and 25% of the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index.
