About Airwallex
Airwallex is a global financial platform that helps businesses move and manage money across borders. Its products include multi-currency business accounts, international payments and foreign exchange, online payment acceptance, corporate cards, spend and expense management. It also offers a set of APIs that let other companies embed financial features into their own software. The platform runs on a proprietary network of banking and payment licenses that lets customers collect and pay out in local currencies across more than 150 countries. Airwallex makes money mainly by charging transaction and currency conversion fees on the payments that flow through its platform, plus subscription and card fees for its business software. The company was founded in 2015 in Australia but is now co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore.
