About Standard Intelligence
Standard Intelligence is an AI research lab building foundation models that learn to use computers directly from raw screen-recording video. Instead of wrapping a language model in tool calls and screenshots, its models predict the next mouse movement, click and keystroke from the pixels on screen. Its first model, FDM-1, was trained on an 11 million hour computer-use video dataset and can navigate websites, complete CAD modeling sequences in Blender and even steer a car after brief fine-tuning. The company is a six-person public benefit corporation with no commercial product yet. Its stated long-term mission is building aligned artificial general intelligence.
