About Wayve

Wayve is a British technology company that builds AI software for self-driving vehicles. Its core product is the Wayve AI Driver, an end-to-end driving foundation model that learns from data rather than relying on hand-coded rules or high-definition maps. This lets it run on standard onboard computers and sensors across different car brands. The company also develops GAIA generative world models used to simulate and train driving behavior. Wayve makes money by licensing its vehicle-agnostic AI Driver to automakers and fleet operators. It earns recurring software revenue as the technology is deployed from assisted driving up to fully automated and robotaxi applications. Wayve was founded in 2017 by Alex Kendall and Amar Shah, and it is headquartered in London.
