The Carillon Chartwell Short Duration High Yield Fund is an open-end mutual fund designed to provide investors with both income and long-term capital appreciation. Its primary focus is on high yield debt securities, commonly known as "junk bonds," with an average portfolio duration of less than three years. This relatively short duration helps to mitigate interest rate risk and aims for lower volatility compared to the broader high yield bond or leveraged loan markets. At least 80% of the fund’s assets are typically allocated to high yield corporate bonds, selected for their attractive relative value and income potential.
